We care for our neighbors: Some members are active in home communion and Befriender ministries, caring for each other. Others volunteer at the CAC food shelf, participate in local Habitat for Humanity builds and advocacy for affordable housing, help make quilts or prepare school kits for Lutheran World Relief, or write Christmas cards for immigrants through Lutheran Immigration & Refugee Service's Hope for the Holidays program. As a congregation, we are sponsoring a family seeking asylum.
We care for God's creation: we have Adopt-a-Highway clean up days and other initiatives. 100% of our church building's electricity comes from renewable resources.
We were honored to receive Lutheran Social Service Minnesota's 2023 Servant of Christ Award.
Multiple committees and teams guide our efforts - Mission & Justice, Anti-Racism Learning & Advocacy, Homes for God's Children, Refugee Welcome Team, Creation Care, and Reconciling in Christ. Contact the church office if you'd like to get involved!
