Giving at Bethel

Faith Based Giving

Generous giving is one of the basic acts of discipleship. God has blessed each one of us with time, talent, and treasures/finances. As our faith grows, we realize these gifts are not ours to keep or hoard but to share. We at Bethel acknowledge that all we have both as individuals and as a faith community come as gifts for God.

As stewards of these gifts, we believe that through God’s guidance, the resources we need to carry out God’s ministry will be provided by the generous support of our members.

Our Bethel ministry is to help you, God’s people, grow in your relationship with Jesus, give your heart to Jesus and give generously of your time, talent, and finances that God has entrusted to you. Your gifts make ministry happen.

Simply Giving

Simply Giving is a Thrivent program which makes your financial stewardship to Bethel automated. Instead of writing a check each week, you can designate an amount to be deducted from your bank account (checking or savings) on the 1st, 15th or every Monday or Friday. This works for your Building Bethel’s Second Century pledge too. Contact our finance secretary at 507-786-6687 or email us here.

There is no cost to participate.

Volunteer Opportunities

Being disciples means giving of our time and talent. There are many opportunities to serve at Bethel. We encourage you to volunteer in the areas where your gifts and talents are and where you feel passionate about contributing. For some, that will be in the worship service as a member of the choir, serving communion, ushering, or reading. For others it might be sharing their cooking talents at Bistro or taking meals to shut-ins. Maybe you want to teach our children, youth, or adults? There is always a spot for teachers.

Your creative talents can be used for quilting, video and audio productions, and a score of other areas. The list goes on and on.Your creative talents can be used for quilting, video and audio productions, and a score of other areas. The list goes on and on.
